Licensing

Updated: January 21, 2023

1. SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) Products

Each production SSIS server requires a license. Clustered SQL servers require a license for each node of the cluster regardless of whether it is active or not.

We allow an unlimited number of free development/test licenses with the purchase of a production license.

The development/test licenses are restricted to running in the development SSIS environment only. Meaning they are only allowed to run within SQL Server Developer Tools (SSDT) / Business Intelligence Development Studio (BIDS) which is what the developer uses to create and test SSIS packages.

If you require testing your integrations using the production SSIS executable using DTEXEC or SQL Server Agent then you must use a production license. Alternatively you can use the intended development environment (SSDT / BIDS) to perform your testing.

One year of maintenance is included in every purchase. After the maintenance term expires you will no longer have access to install the latest version of the software components and will only be able to install the last version of the component that was released within your previous maintenance period. This means that updates to the program after your maintenance plan has expired will not be able to be activated until the maintenance plan is renewed. Yearly maintenance plans are fixed price and can be purchased from the Store on the Keelio Software website.

Example: If you have two licenses of the XML SSIS Toolkit, then you would purchase two one year renewals to reinstate your maintenance for the following year. Maintenance plans that are not renewed before their expiration date will require the end user to purchase the product at full price to reinstate their support and upgrade eligibility.

A maintenance plan renewal e-mail will be sent 30 days prior to expiration of the maintenance plan to the account the software products were purchased under.

Note: Terms and conditions are subject to change.

2. Webservice Products

Our webservices products, such as the Dynamics GP REST Webservices are licensed on a per server basis. Load balanced web servers require a license for each node of the cluster.
